RetroBand VST plugins. Right kind of modelled distortion?

Hi fellow studio people,

I have just released two new kinds of windows VST distortion plugins: RetroBand and RetroBandLite. The other is free, the other very cheap, and they both can make things sound damn good (but don't take it from me, have a listen and try yourself).

Best da conveter for under a grand

Hello i am still looking at ad.da converters and wondered what is the best 4 channel ad/da converter that I can get for under a grand. (would like it to be firewire or usb 2.0 (preferably firewire)) I have looked at some but most i have seen have have 8 inputs and feel like a I'm paying for inputs that I don't need and I could get less better inputs for the same price.

ISO Adapter - Bogen Manfrotto 5/8 stud to 5/8-27 thread

There are a lot of kewl and versatile lighting mounts for photography and it seems like they'd be good to have around for creative mic mounting problems. I've seen the studs with 1/4" thread on one end and 3/8" thread on the other - a 3/8-16-5/8-27 bushing could go on those and then a mic clip/shock-mount, but too many adapters and such leads to having stuff move when you don't want it to.

Neuman small condenser matched pair recommendation

i am considering buying a matched pair of Neumann 18x microphones and i looking for opinions and/or recommendations on which set to get. i'm going to be using them for drum overheads, stereo program recording (live bands, concerts, stage productions) and for instrument recording like guitar, violin, woodwinds, perecussion, etc.
