We've recently discovered that when trying to send 88.2kHz or 96kHz AES signals over long cable runs, digital distortion appears.

We've tried all the latest "super-spec." digital cables and none of them will do it.

Ok guys...so I have a budget of around 300$ for a pair of deccent tom/allaround mics...what do you think is better?
Shure beta56 or Audix D2? they are both in the same price range...but I have no expirince with anyone of them!...
is anyone here exprinced with recording with anyone of them or both?

Does anyone know of a free VST to RTAS wrapper? I recently moved from Cubase to Pro Tools and have a lot of VST plugins. I don't mind forking out the mere $75 for FX wrapper but I believe that it isn't guaranteed to work with all VST plugins. Any ideas?

I'm looking into the M-Audio Transit card for my laptop.
I've learned that it comes bundled with Ableton Live.

My question is...

1.) Your thoughts on the whole M-Audio Transit card? Crap or not Crap?
2.) Do you think I can also install the Ableton Live software on another PC?

I'd really like to mix down on my desktop intead of the laptop.

it seems that i have a click leak in the headphones while recording acoustic music. any advice on how to burry it with out ruining the acoustic guitar tracks? like always, thanks for your time.

I’ve been using Adobe Audition for the last couple years and all of my mixing experience has been on a computer screen. So, less familiar with signal routing in the analog realm, I was slow to pick up on ‘effects sends’.

So, i do all my processing for live shows via plugins, cuz i cant afford outboard gear. I mainly focus on vocals. I use Wavestrueverb, rverb, weaves SSL EQ, and sometimes a compressor.

but I'm looking for a nice harmonizing plugin , so i can sing and itll process a harmony. I dont care if its perfect, i just need it to be semi transparent and decent parameters.
