Hi all,

I normally do not do cover stuff as I like to focus on writing original songs and you are always compared with the original. In preparation for a big mixing and mastering job for our band's first EP, I decided to do a cover of a song from my favourite band AIC as a test to see how close I could make a production to the original with limited effort. And it was also fun!

Here's a song with a few different grooves in it, and thus a couple of different instrument choices re: snare and bass per groove. Let me know if this is good enough to demo quality.

FYI, artist brought a YouTube beat to the session and didn't have wav files so it was a little hard for me to get all vox takes to sit in the mix so I fear it'll be either to loud or to soft compared to the beat. regardless let me know! Feedback is essential in my opinion. Thanks

I have a valued client that is mandating I use mp3s to "remaster" CDs for replication. Those new production CDs are then converted back to mp3s for posting on their website. I need more info to convince them this is a BAD idea. Suggestions? Links to professional data on the web? Personal experience? Thanks!

Maybe in late to the party on this. It appears that by the time I finally get my pro x installed and running, which was new at the time, I'll be 2 versions 'late'

The included melodyne mildy interest me, and the izotope tools highly interest me.

Just got into the studio w/ my new group. Laid down an experimental track ... just drums and bass to get levels and work out any sonic bugs ...

I'm using Wavelab 4. What kind of limiter can I use with it? When I look through my vst plugins drop down menu, I cannot find a limiter.. Is it called something else & I'm just missing it?
