Whats peoples views on the Tascam 38?
I already have a Teac 80-8 and lately Ive been in touch with someone who wants rid of a 38. Is there much of a difference between the two machines?

Hello. I have a problem with output in Pro Tools. The thing is that I can't hear what I've recorded. When I'm recording it everything is fine and i can hear what I'm playing, but when I try to replay it, sound disappears. The bar whitch shows sound amplitude (I don't know the right term) is shows that something should come out.

I'll start out with some specs that might come in handy to know. Im on a i7 pc with 24gb ram running studio one version 2.6 as my daw.

So here are the deets. I have my MixWizard 4 (with USB installation) hooked up to my laptop, my laptop has enough space to run Ableton 9 just fine. I am sort of a noob to this setup having had Pro Tools for so long and wanted to try a new program to do live sampling. My latency is just horrid, I can adjust it but can get max 9ms from board to laptop. Not happy.

I've unearthed my Sony PCM-2600 DAT machine and decided to archive all my old mixes to my mac. All was going well. I finished with a DAT and had dinner.

Forgive me for such a question but why does everything always end up needing to be "recapped"
