I'm getting into mastering and wanted some opinions on different AD/DA converters. I'm sure this has been discussed before but I wanted to know which converter fits a certain style of music if any. I know they all have their own characteristics but need some info before I go out and spend $$$. I am doing more dance electronic, hip hop, aggressive music where the client wants it LOUD.

Who (you guys) owns what by Earthworks? I am looking at getting the omni drum kit system.
I really like what I've heard about them (talk wise and sound wise)

hey, I have a question about my metronome... it's integrated into my Sonar 3 producers edition program and I can't seem to get it to work I have messed around with multiple options and still can't get it to make a sound while recording therefor the drummer and midi effects will not sound either...

I have a major dilemma, I have a Behringer ddx 3216 digtital mixer, a optimus concertmate 990 keyboard (it's basically a casio), and i'm running pro tools 6.4 with the digi 001 I/O box.

Wonder how many of you appreciate these? My family has one and although they don't know how to string it it totally rocks.

What do you all use to not have computer noise be a factor? Do you build or buy cases that kill the noise or do you put it in another room? I don't have the luxury of putting it another room and it's pretty loud right now. It's a PowerMac G4 Quicsilver, a few years old (2-3). Thanks.

What do you guys do when you have long runs from combo amps to where the guitarist/bassist is playing? When I'm recording half stacks I put the cab in the other room, the head by me and use a long speaker cable. It's about 30ft from the other room, and I'm not sure what to do when I'm recording myself playing through a combo. I'd appreciate any suggestions, thanks.
