What's the latest news, does WinXP SP2 still have problems with music applications?

Is it still possible to get SP1 ?

Pretty crazy that Micro$lut _only_ allows upgrades to SP2.

No, I'm not asking about any tipe of VirtuaLittleAngel2.1...

Just wondering if Reason 2.0 or 3.0 are compatbile with Mac OS X 10.3 (or 10.4 if anyone knows on the off chance)

Also what versions of Ableton Live and Cubase SX are compatible with 10.3 if any.

Or do I need to be running 10.2?

What is a wavetable synthesis as seen on all Sound Blaster cards? Why does a SoundFont used with a Live! card sounds different when you use with an Audigy?is it related with the wavetable syn.?

First post on this forum..i feel like I stumbled on a gold mine! its great!

Confused between Layla 3g and an RMEmultiface with pci interface. The RMEsetup will cost me $300 more and I will not be getting two mic preamp-amps...I dont know too much about the AD/DAs on both cards..

I just got a gig handed to me (not really "handed" - I'm under contract for it...) that is friggin cool. I can't really specify the artist/group's name, but I can tell you that it ISN'T the Mexican Brass...eh! ( I haven't read the details of the contract yet, so I don't know if I can state that I'm actuallyl recording them yet, otherwise, I would shout it from the rooftops.)

I have read wonderfull reviews about the Korg Karma, I am planing to purchase this keyboard for my home studio, I will use it as a synth and as a midi controller device.. Another option would be a MicroKorg with the vocooder thing on it. That would be a cheaper option but I dont know if it would be the right one. Coments on both produts are apprecciated.
