Hi. I have a home studio and use a pair of NS-10T's w/ a Hafler power amp for monitoring and have looked EVERYWHERE on the net for some info regarding these speakers but to no avail haven't been able to find squat even requested info from Yamaha, no luck. I was wondering if anyone could tell me anything about these speakers? For instance, are they as good as the NS-10S and/or M?

I'm recording an orchestra and a chorus (100+) with orchestra tomorrow and thought it would be fun to try a Blumlein setup in addition to my regular mics.

If it works well I might use it as the primary pair but if it doesn't I still have my usual m-s setup.

I'm just curious, if you were to all out renevate your home into a recording studio, couldn't you get into some stuff because that would be considered business. A business where the property would have to be zoned to be operated as a business, where you would not be able to live there because you can't live at businesses.

After reading lots of great information in this forum, I have decided that I am WAY too lazy to build a DAW from scratch, and want to get someone to do it for me. I have been impressed with the selection at Puget, and to a certain extent adk, but I am wondering what other good companies are out there. Thanks in advance for any help that you are able to provide.

What's good? Just got a laptop I can use while traveling to work on mixes while on the go. Will be moving to an Ibook in the future, but right I'm on PC running Logic Platinum 5.5.1. Any suggestions on a GOOD interface, portable, as I travel a lot and would like to take in progress mixes with me to keep things moving.

I've seen numerous threads about this unit and I have some specific questions.

First off, the only compressors I'm using right now are the stock Cubase SX plugins and the 1176 SE plugin in the UAD-1. For some reason I don't think these compressors are suiting my needs, and I want to venture outside of my software.

Anyone have any experiences with any of these amps? I've heard good things about the DC-3's and Phoenix heads...

i am having trouble recording my midi keyboard psr 295 usb interface. the problem is
e.g
if i record on a midi track from the keyboard e.g only bass part.
and then try to record a string section on another midi track.
so as i change the voice in the 2nd midi track as string the voice i get from the 1st midi track which was bass, now also becomes strings voice.
