DI Box
Forums
Hey, just looking for some suggestions for a cheap DI box to buy. Basically I'm looking for something that has an XLR in and out and a quarter inch in and out. Besides that I just want one that is cheap yet does the job.

Apex 435 vs Studio Projects B1
Forums
Hey, I'm looking into picking up a condenser mic for recording vocals and acoustic guitar. I'm thinking the cheaper the better, but if there is a big difference between two models for a relatively small difference in price then I'll consider shelling out a bit of extra cash. The two models I have been looking at lately have been the Apex 435 and the Studio Projects B1.

Advises needed for mix, sample for you to listen.

Listen to "Master Extrait":
Google
Id say what I noticed myself :
The vocal sounds like theres a blanket over it. The whole mix is abit like that, maybe because of a overdone use of maxxbass in the mastering of the Mix.

I’ve been lurking around these spaces for ages and have found lots of useful information/opinions on all sorts of gear. There is one brand of gear that seems to be almost invisible on the web.

I recorded the Indianapolis Children's Choir in a rehearsal room last year. I must have made a good impression because they just asked me to do a recording session (not a live concert) in this space:
Budget guitar splitter?
Forums
Hi there,
I seen Kurt recommend the Littlelabs Distro and such, but they are extremely expensive.
Are there any out there that are a little less money and still work half decent? Thanks!

transferring from analog tape recordings to DAW
Forums
I'm looking at a widely divergent set of opinions everywhere and am really confused.
What are the basics I need to transfer my analog recordings(done on a 4 track Tascam mk-2 424 portastudio-most of them 2-3 channels)to DAW effectively?I'm looking to transfer the files to DAW for edting, tweaking and basic mastering purposes.
I did read about an A-D converter, but which type?
