44.1k vs 48k
Forums
I am using the RMEconverters through an echo layla (sometimes the layla converters if I use more than 8 tracks) into Nuendo.
I switched over to 48k awhile back and I convinced myself that it was a worthwhile change, as it seemed that I could stack more tracks and the depth and detail of the mix seemed more enhanced.

Managers etc?
Forums
Do we have any managers, attorney A&R guys/gals etc. out there that feel like moderating this forum? Who ever does take this on please feel free to do a little self promotion while your at it. What's happening out there?
It always amazes me on how little time we creative people spend learning the business side of things.

Stone Temple Pilots
Forums
Does anyone remember the song "Wicked Garden" by STP? Right before the chorus there is a wave of sound to bring it in. seems like an effect to a vocal. I am mixing a song right now and the vocalist wants something similar. I have never toyed with this sort of thing... anyone have any ideas or suggestions? I have an EvantideH3000 and a few Lexicon fx processors...if that helps.

G4 733 -> Dual 1GHz, Will I see a significant difference
Forums
Hi all,
I'm considering a processor upgrade for my Quicksilver 733. My options are dual 1.0, 1.2 and 1.4 GHz cards. They're priced at $599, 789, and 1189, respectively. I don't have 12 big ones to blow, so I'm leaning toward the dual 1.0.
Changing to tape
Forums
Till now I have been recording on to my PC to a Delta 66 card with an Omni Studio mixer etc. Its OK but now I have bought a Revox C274 four track
(for what I do four is enough) to which I input the mics via a home brew mixer. Then I want to mix down to stereo on to the PC via the Omni Studio. Question--

Any Nice Track Sheets Posted Anywhere?
Forums
Looking for a good track sheet for use with Nuendo, but a generic one should work fine. Anybody know where i could find one on this site or elsewhere? It would be nice if there were a place on this site to post stuff like this - or is there? Just wondering.

Two Channel pre-amp with SPDIF outs for under $1000 - po
Forums
I am using an Aardvark Q10 interface for my studio. I would like to take advantage of the two SPDIF tracks available on the Aardvark. Can anyone recommend a reasonably-priced pre-amp that either has SPDIF out built in, or at least an optional card? Thanks.
EQ'ing Snare Drum
Forums
Been hearing many techno/dance songs which have a snare drum pick-up to transition from the intro to the song...apart from increasing in volume (the norm), many also have the EQ on the snare drum going from enhanced lows to enhanced highs (in a very fluid manner)...
just wondering how to go about achieving this?
