Hi All,

Can somebody please advise what could be the a recommended low/medium-budget setup in order to do excellent voice-over recordings for promos, commercials, spots, jingles.

Please include all the hardware (mic, pre-amp, compressor, EQ, mixer, etc ., - excluding the PC) and software components required.

Anyone had any experience with these? You'll all probably think I'm nuts for asking this, but it's come down to a matter of space.

Any of you guys used this combination?
I'm having trouble with mine. The card has 26 in's and out's (3 ADATS and a SDIF) which appear fine in CoreAudio's driver and in Logic Setup Assistant but then when I open Logic (Platinum) I can only choose from inputs 1-12. This is a bitch cos I've got a Mackie 24-track and having to re-configure to get stuff in is a real pain!

Ok Hi all I'm looking to get a new computer for audio recording and mixing. I know this topic has been done and i have read the posts and I'm still uncertain. First of all what places are there that will build and test your system for you that are actually reputable and not amazingly expensive? I know of mwave.com but are there more?

OK...I admit it, I am a guitar player, not a keyboard player, so I have no clue how to send or receive MIDI Sysex files...

I just got a TC Helicon VoiceWorks processor, and want to upgrade the software, plus have the ability to backup the presets, etc.

Problem: I have no clue how to do this!

I am having a lot of trouble with recording levels and I am trying to track down the problem.

My basic setup is Mac G4 733, OS 9.2.2, Digi001, MicroExpress, Digital Performer, and a Triton Studio.

My procedure is that I record all the MIDI tracks and then record them to audio tracks.

Anyone have a suggestion or recommendation for a good stereo mastering compressor. I'm a HS music teacher that makes lots of tapes of choral performances and also a number of backround tapes for vocal cabaret performances. I know things like the Manley Vari-mu is quite often recommended for this but is there something a little cheaper, if possible.

Just heard that song, had'nt heard it for a long time. When the the first guitar tone came I was all ears, amasing guitar sound (Clapton) and the vocal sound was also wery good (Waters), to my ears at least. I found the drumsound to be dull, particularly the snare
