Default Plugs on a mix?
Forums
I am using Nuendo with Waves Plugs and would like some input on what plugs you folks would recommend as "standard" (pretty much use on everything as a place to start). I am currently using the Wavesstereo spacializing plug, Waves Rverb, C1 compressor, and Waves 10 band EQ). Some of the Nuendo plugs are decent, but I've been gravitating toward the Waves stuff for some reason.

A midi module?
Forums
I'm thinking of buying TERA (VirSyn) to use as a sound module. As a novice in the virtual synth market, I have a question.
Can I trigger the virtual synth in the same way I did with my external midi modules. Is this more efficient, being located inside the machine with no physical cables?

Understanding phase. again...

I have a Yamaha CP70-B electric grand which is in need of repair. Does anyone know of any piano techs in the US that may have experience with these instruments.
Any advice appreciated.

Hey guys
Just to let you know I will be taking a small break from forum postings...I have a lot to do in the next coming weeks as far as projects and so forth and will not be able to allocate brain power over here for that time.
So I just wanted to let you all know so you don't think I'm jumping ship or ignoring you!

Avalon 737 vs Speck/Speck/RNC
Forums
I just picked up a used VT-737sp (for a song).
I have been testing it for only two days, but honestly, I am having a hard time seeing a marked increase in quality over my usual "channel strip" of the Speck MicPre 5.0>Speck ASC EQ>RNC.
