WD SATA?

Western Digitals entry into the serial ata drive market looks interesting to say the least. "The first Raptor Series drive will be available in a 36 GB capacity, with a 5.2 MS average seek time, 10,000-RPM rotation speed and a whopping 1.2 million hours MTBF. Western Digital will offer a five-year warranty on these Enterprise-class hard drives."

Converting Files

I originally recorded my tracks at 24/96 in Nuendo and now due to system limitations I want to convert the tracks down to either 24/48 or 24/44. Basically, the higher format is wiping out my CPU once I start editing and using plugins. I converted one song down to 24/44 and gained a lot of system headroom and there didn’t appear to be any problems.

Lexicon 224

Hi folks.
Some bloody idiot has stolen my remote control for the Lexicon 224.
Does anybody has`n idea where there is still one to get of this very old piece, it`s the predecessor of the LARC.
Or can I build one by my own ? I still love this reverberator.

Which is the correct IDE cable?

I heard that there is a difference between the HDD cables that my P4PE will accept. Someone eluded to the fact that to get the highest ATA, I'll need and 80pin? rather than the older style cable on my primary IDE channel, to be sure I'm not running at ATA/66 or the like.

I'm not sure how to tell if I'm using the correct cable. Can someone please advise me? Thank you.
