So...I bought an audioarts 8x console, and besides being excited to use its "super mediocre" eqs as remy put I am thinking about how to get the most out of it.

I currently have a 2-bus lt and a monitor st, but will probably want to get rid of them now and sum through the board.

First time post on recording.org... i've been on a few other forums and i'm trying to get some feedback on some of these new 4 mic preamp interfaces. Four mic preamps is what i'm looking for. I really don't wanna spend more than 500 bucks but I'm looking for something with 4 clean sounding pres, phantom power, usb or firewire that will work flawlessly with Logic Pro.

hey guys I'm building a new pc dedicated only for music recording with Cubase and ableton, and i will mainly be recording midi.

Motherboard : AsRock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3

PSU : Corsair HX-650

RAM : G.skill DDR3 16GB 1600 mhz

SSD for OS : Crucial m4 256 gb

HD : Hitachi 7200rpm 1gb

To replace my currently dying machine I'm trying to decide whether a notebook would fit my situation. I would need XLR, MIDI and 1/4" TSR on an interface. Otherwise I would be using my Delta AP 192 and pre-amp on a PC. The priority is cost. I need the cheapest solution with these inputs.

ok so i started recording with my 16 track multitrack recorder and am loving in, but now i wanna step into the computer age. i wonder if its possible to get a laptop in the 350-450 range that will have ample power for what I'm looking for.

Thank you for letting me post this question without a registration process. I am new to outside recording (but not studio recording) and wondered if a windshield for the Tascam DR-100 would be effective - Rycote make one as do Redhead windscreens, and maybe there are others as well.
