Hi there. I'm having trouble with my Fostex MR-8 CF card. It's an intermittent problem that keeps popping up saying card error 09. I've reformatted (also from an external source as well as the MR-8). Sometimes I can get away with recording a song and immediately transfering onto the computer, but the next time it will get halfway through and then corrupt again.

First attempt recording congas. The drummer has 3 drums. The lowest one (tumbadora?) has a nasty high frequency ringing... similar to issues I've had with toms where one of the lugs has an issue with a spring. I can't seem to hear exactly where it's coming from, but I'm assuming it's from one of the metal bits of hardware.

Any suggestions on troubleshooting this?

Got a bit of a problem, I'm trying to record voice coming through an ew 100 g3 and into an mbox mini to pro tools. whenever i arm the track to record the signal goes mad and all i hear is fuzz however when the track isn't armed the sound is clear and crisp. what the hecks going on? =/

I currently run an MFA Magus C preamp, modified and hot rodded by the designer, Scott Frankland. I am the original owner, use it at least a couple of hours every day, and love the sound.

I've been waiting to find just the right setup for my needs. I wanted a second set, mainly for tracking. I have bought a set of Tannoy System 8 nearfields for just such work. I am looking forward to hearing them. I have heard the big brothers of these and I have always loved the detail and focus of a concentric speaker setup.
