I currently have 3 MOTU 2408... one is the original version.. the first one that came out... the others are mkII. i was thinking of upgrading to the HD192. would there be any benefit to purchasing this upgrade if i was still going to continue recording @ 48000 and 24bit... does this unit sound better? thanks.

I really hate to ask this question..but I have no way to locally audition for myself. My setup is a Panasonic DA7, Eventide Eclipse.Kurzweil Rumour, Masterlink, Alesis HD24, 2 API 512c, Langevin DVC, Great River 1MNV. I do mostly R&B, Gospel, Funk. My questions are, has anyone used either of these converters. based on my info, which would you choose or suggest. Thanks

I 'm researching about how could I someone archive 24/96 and 24/192 recordings, stereo.
If the recording is 16/44.1, we used dat or a regular CD-R blank.
But now, with recordings in 24/96 and 24/192 ?
I ask about accesible media, in price and the possibility of purchase it anywhere.

I've seen in MOTU's site some of the HD192's specs that seem to outperform the 896 HD. I wonder if anybody has had a chance to make an A/B comparison between these two units.

Stuff like "192-kHz converters in the HD192 are the very same used in more expensive HD systems. With 120dB A-weighted dynamic range and a THD+N of 0.0005%" isn't said about the 896HD.

I have the nanosync(rosendahl) and the digi192 HD system.
I have things all syncing but I have a question about the superclock(port 6) and also a question about the locked function on the nano sync.

Has anyone purchased or demo'd one of these yet? I'd like to get my hands on one if it's like that.

Anyone using it as title.

I keep trying to figure out why this implementation is necessary...}
Almost every piece of gear I have hardly reaches 40Khz of Frequency response...

anyone here ever used it ? i am interested in it cuz of the 5.1 but am still undecided . i have not found to much RECENT info on the product so any input would be greatly appreciated .
