I'm looking for a somewhat specific A/D/A converter of comparable quality to the fireface. Are there any 192khz sample rate converters out there that have between 10-20 line inputs, and no mic preamps? I can't seem to find any that have exactly what I'm looking for. I might just opt for a fireface 400 and a multiface...

at the moment, i use tc electronics konnekt 24 with my pc. i am looking for a good quality d/a converter to feed my pres to without adding any color or noise. i'd like to keep the chain as transparent as possible. my budget is $2500.
any suggestions?

I am looking to up the quality of my "mbox 2" "usb 2" set up. I am willing to spend around $1000 for a quality preamp, but I get mixed messages. Some people tell me to get a higher quality a/d converter before I spend too much on a preamp. But I figure since my set up only allows for 48k transfer rate, that I should focus on getting some nicer preamps first.

Apogee Mini-Me used. What do you guys think? I want a high quality A/D and clock to go digitally into my M-Audio ProjectMix I/O running pro tools M-powered. I really only need one channel. Think the Apogee Mini-Me is the way to go? Seems to be well known that Apogee is the best A/D. IS the Mini-ME up to par?

So I did more research on interfaces with two ADAT inputs. I need this to use my S/MUX output on my Digimax FS (giving me 16@96k). I found the two that would suit me best (considering price and all): MOTU 8-Pre and PreSonus Firestudio.

I have Allen & Heath WZ3 12:2 mixer.I'm looking for A/D converters with 8 analog in . I'm looking to spend arround 900, 1,000 $.Any suggestion

I'm about to pull the trigger on a 003 rig, but I want more inputs and I don't think I can afford a Digimax or the like. I love the idea of adding inputs via ADAT, but I'm hopping over the Digidesign because I want better A/D, and whatever I get I don't want it to degrade the quality.

I have a G5 running Digital Performer with a MOTU 896HD. All is good.

But on occasion, I want a ninth and tenth analog input. Can I just get the Onyx satellite, firewire it in to the chain, and not worry about word clock or other sync issues?
