I just got the chance to use this live . I can say that it really helps rounding out the sound for the bass . My bassist loved the tone . I have other pieces of their gear and I'm very satisfied with all of it .

Any other people had any experience with this DI or any others . Would love to know what and how other people are using them .

A-Designs Audio Crafts a New Classic: The “Ventura”

Anyone use the A-Designs Audio EM-PEQ? I'm looking to add a Pultec style to my hybrid chain. How quiet is this and what's your opinion?

I'm thinking about upgrading my mic collection and with it my preamps. Right now I have an Audio-Technica AT 3035 and a PreSonus tube pre with 2 inputs. They have both gotten me plenty of decent recording but I'm now looking to upgrade. I've been doing a lot of research and I feel pretty dead set on getting the A-designs P-1 preamp and the AT4050 mic. I use Mbox 2 and Pro Tools.

I while back I posted a request for the next pre to fit the mix. I got a BA 312A and have been very, very happy with it. But I was still looking for a clean, present preamp with those nice tube driven harmonics to make vocals, overheads and acoustics sound "rich".
