This company TH-U, which i discovered a couple years ago has really impressed with with their stuff. I love tube amps, especially standing in front of them rocking out! My back, bank account, and neighbors, don't like the tube amps as much. Lol.

Not sure at all if I'm in the right place for this post. I'm looking for guitar amp effects for audio tracks in Ableton Live intro. I have Logic Pro X and it has a pretty extensive array of amps and cabinets for guitar but I like using Ableton live now. Guitar rig?

I've been doing a shootout with Uad's newer preamp modeling plugins just using the preamp stage of their plugins set to Mic. It's pretty cool. There's something about them that is not a normal plugin in my opinion.

Currently using garageband and a bit underwhelmed by the guitar amp simulators. Im not in an environment where I can mic an amp up so need to find something good.

Im having a huge problem recordin in cubase.
Every time i try to use an amp simulator it just doesnt give any sound.If i put it on bypass the guitar is heard again
but when i turn on the amp again its just white noise .
Could anyone help ?

I know it's common practice in home studios, but do pros do it? I never have and, as an engineer or as a player, I can't imagine it would be satisfactory. It forces you to use software monitoring, which means latency. Then it adds processing, which means even more latency.

maybe i could just go to a company's website and find some sound files, but it's always going to be different than what the average user gets out of something. i'm looking for something that can be used on hard rock/nu metal. thanks, Reuben

Has anyone had the opportunity to test the VG99 against the Pod Xt Pro?

Certainly VG99 has much more editable parameter data, creation of models and so. But what about "tone" quality?

Looking for a good guitar amp simulator plugin. Any good ones out there?

I have always recorded using good guitars and amps (and players when we get them :roll: )so much so that we have a fairly nice collection of both here at the studio. But I have also been reading that the PT guys really like the Amp Farm. Assuming that the Pod is some what the same I am curious as to what everyone thinks about the Pod and what are some of the things you do with it.
