We just got the M-Audio Audiophile 2496 and are having problems with simultaneous record and playback. It just ain't happenin'. We're using Cool Edit Pro and Magix. We had no problems like this with our previous sound card.

Okay, having bought one of these beasts, upgraded significantly from SB Live 5.1, I find that everything I put in via my Behringer Mixer into the rca in, gets distorted. It seems hard to get a decent sound into the mixer...or is it out of the mixer because the sound levels go into the red on the Audiophile Monitor Mixer (on the pc).

I am using an external Mixer with my M-Audio Audiophile 2496 sound card. I have the main outs of the mixer going into my compressor, which is then fed into the sound card. The audio outs of the sound card go back into the "2 track input" of my mixer, so I can monitor the processed signal via my mixer.

I decided to try to get into home recording to record my band. I bought myself an Audiophile 2496 soundcard. I already have a Studiomaster Club 2000 mixer. I'm wondering if I can hook these 2 up to my PC as I'm having a few problems.

I just bought and installed the soundcard yesterday. When I install the hardware, and then the drivers it installs fine, for music playback. The pc doesn't detect the settings for recording. I've tried re-installing the drivers but I still get the same result, and I've even switched thePCI slots. In the properties in Volume Control, I click on Recording and there is just a blank entry box.

I have the 2496 installed in my comp and it was working fine...yesterday I had a new hard drive installed in my comp and now windows xp will not recognize the soundcard as installed. is there anything I can do before I uninstall the card and re-install it?

ps-the card does not show up in my device manager. any help would be appreciated. .thanks in advance

Is anyone out there using two of these cards at the same time? I have one already and have been using the analog inputs via a small Behringer mixer.

I've just bought a Tampa preamp and intend to connect it to the SPDIF in of the card to record vox.

has anyone had expeirience?

Hey Folks, I've been looking at these two units. The Mia comes off as the winner as far as specs go. .it has +4 dbv levels on the inputs (which is a pro setting) whereas the Audiophile has a +2 dbv setting (consumer levels). Also, the Echo has 1/4 inch balanced inputs whereas the Audiophile has unbalanced Rca.
