Hey all,

I am using an external Mixer with my M-Audio Audiophile 2496 sound card. I have the main outs of the mixer going into my compressor, which is then fed into the sound card. The audio outs of the sound card go back into the "2 track input" of my mixer, so I can monitor the processed signal via my mixer.

In my "Sound options" in Windows control panel, I have the Delta Audiophile 2496 set as my default device for recording, and my Yamaha AC-XG (I THINK that's it) on-board card set as my playback. This setup allows me to hear the main mix and 2 track return via my mixer, but still allows me to hear all system sounds, mp3s, CD's, and what not, through my Yamaha soundcard/computer speakers.

I would really like to set it up so I could switch the monitoring of the signal from my mixer and cubase, from the audiophile card to the Yamaha card. Basically I want to be able to record the mix, while listening through my mixer/audiophile card, then audtion the mix and adjust EQ while playing the recorded music back in Cubase, through my Yamaha card/speakers.

Any idea of how I can do this? I went into the ASIO set up and activated the Yamaha card in the setup, and then tried to add a second stereo output bus in Cubase, but it would only let me add an additional bus for my audiophile card, and not for the Yamaha. Anyway I can switch/toggle the output signal between the audiophile card and the Yamaha card/speakers?

I hope I've been clear enough, and explained everything OK. It's kinda hard to picture it without seeing it, I know. Any insight, help, whatever, would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!
