Hello, I have been given a second hand Tascam Gt-R1 and have been recording my guitar playing but I am not sure how to upload what I have recorded to my computer. Any advice?

Hey I am new to home recording. I know a little bit but not much. Not sure if this is the kind of forum to post a question like this or if it has already been asked but I'll throw it out there anyway.

OK - I have way more equipment than I need and have made mistake after mistake in purchasing and getting in over my head with stuff I probably don't need. Can you help or make suggestions?

Looking to buy a good beginners drum machine but i'm not too sure what's good.The ones i've checked out have a cheezy bass playing along.I just want drums,no bass. Any recommendations? Thanks

I have a mic that I use with my computer, but it's a really little, cheap one, and there's loads of background noise. I can cancel some of the background noise using Audacity, but it's never good enough, and the audio quality isn't great to begin with.

So, I'm wondering... is this because of the sound card, or the mic?

I'm ready to go broke and spend every penny I have on a new recording setup! I'm a beginner but I want to buy the best rig possible. .not interested in a beginner setup! I don't want to have to buy a new rig a year or two from now...I'd rather get great gear from the start..but I don't know what I'm doing so any and all input is encouraged and appreciated!

I was wandering what is needed for recording vocals on my computer (not instruments) other than a microphone. People talk about preamps and audio interface. Can someone tell what equipment is needed and what each does? And how each of them are connected?

i want to start recording music, recording my guitar (acoustic & electric), drums, bass, and vocals. exactly what do i need to start doing this? i have looked into propellerhead's record, but what else would i need? and approximately how much do you think it would cost? also do i need multiple mics to record my drum set? thanks so much i really appreciate all the help!
