PowerBook + 2 MOTU Travelers + ADA8000
Hello,
I've recorded 16 analog tracks with my 2 Travelers set up.
Everything went fine.
I plan to upgrade my system to 24 tracks.
So, I plan to buy a Berhinger ADA8000.
Here is how I plan to link them all :
Traveler #2 : master for WordClock
Traveler #1 : slave for WordClock

The Brick with my Tascam FW-1884 and ADA8000...
I have been thinking about getting "The Brick" and an AT-4040 to record vocals with my current setup a Tascam FW-1884 w/ ADA8000. Is it worth the $450 price tag for the brick? I am looking for something to warm up my vocals and guitar tones.
Thanks in advance.
Word Clock, RME and the ADA8000
Hi all,
I've got a quick question. One of my mobile rigs has 3 B* ADA8000's, going via lightpipe to a Nuendo RME/Digi. I've been thinking about maybe tightening up the sync on the setup with wordclock and I'm looking for a reasonably priced clock generator (can't afford Big Ben right now!)

help, Behringer ADA8000 defective out of box?
I just bought one of these and cant get it to work.
There are LEDs on the front of this unit for each analoge channel that are supposed to light up when there
is an audio signal present (from mic or line) but they don't
light up at all. Would they light up reguardless of the optical cables being attached?
Crappy converters and the ADA8000.
Ok guys. in a pinch I bought a Behringer ADA8000 today just to have some extra ins until I can afford a nice piece of gear. (I'll use it for a year if it lasts that long). Basically I'm going to be using it for a control room mic, possibly as an A/D when I get better pres, and extra channels for scratch guitar/bass tracks while tracking drums. My question is. .using only your ears.

Hi, id like to know what people think of the Behringer ada8000. and also i only have a laptop, so what i plan on doing is buying a soundblaster extigy which is an external sound card that has optical inputs and outputs. I'm going to be using it with Pro Tools. anyways the extigy is usb powered, is that a problem? and will the set up work? anyways. thanks in advanced.
