I know this will elicit some very vague responses, but here we go.

On a typical rock/pop mix, how many reverbs are used?

- For instance, does each instrument get its own reverb?
- Is there a reverb bus that many instruments share?
- Are vocals or drums separate?
- When are plate reverbs generally used?

I am 18 years old with self taught knowledge of multitrack recording. Is the Recording Connection a good way to introduce me to the next step in music producing/engineering?

Now i am not talking dirty... because that vote would be a very one sided. But more seriously i am buying a pair of studio monitors and find my self stuck between sizes.

The price isn't really the issue its what is best for monitoring. The room is 12'x16' i was going to get the KRK Rockit 8's but i hear that the KRK Rockit 6's are the better choice.

What would you choose?

a single stage recording system. I mean at it's most fundamental level, two stage recording (mix then master) contains one stage more than one might naively believe is necessary.

I have a fairly well put together studio with a couple of pairs of small monitors, but occasionally I like to crank up a song. (to impress myself as well as clients and friends) What do you use or suggest for large monitors. I haven't put much thought into a budget, mainly because I'm not sure of pricing on bigger monitors.

So i have finally saved up enough money to start my studio. I am looking to put a quality studio in my basement. I have a 10x12 room that i will use as a Live Room. I will be building a 8x8 room next to it as my Mixing/Mastering room. I plan to acoustically treat both rooms.
