I've got an HP Desktop that I use to record with and I'm planning on upgrading to the MBOX 2 and celeron is not noted as being compatible.

Specs:
3.3 GHz Intel Celeron D
120g hard drive 7200rpm
1.5 gigs of ram

Hey, I just picked up a 2.6 ghz Celeron Dell laptop and I wondered as a whole how much faster it is compared to my Athlon 1.7 desktop. Just for curiousity...

I guess a Celeron-M based laptop would be ok for recording/playing back multiple tracks? I will later dump the project on my newly upgraded desktop for processing and mixing, but I am looking for a "cheap", possibly used, laptop that will work as a multi-track on location as I don't want be draging too much around.
