Changing Tubes - ART Tubeopto 8
Hi!
Ive read a few threads about changing the tubes on the ART Tubeopto 8. I got my hands on some vintage telefunken ecc83 smooth plates and I can’t wait to hear how these sound! Several of the threads I’ve found note that you need to remove the tube snubbers before you pull out the tubes and replace them after.

Changing tubes on UA LA-610 - worth it ?
This video shows the process of changing tubes and comparing the before and after sound. I've did the mistake of recording with low gain to get the cleanest sound possible, before and after.. but it seems the sound is very similar but gets different with higher gain settings.. Anyway I hope it will be of interest to you nonetheless !

Re-tubing my preamp
I currently run an MFA Magus C preamp, modified and hot rodded by the designer, Scott Frankland. I am the original owner, use it at least a couple of hours every day, and love the sound.
I'm toying with the idea of replacing the tubes: 2x 12AX7, 1x 12AT7, 1x 6DJ8.

Changing my preamp's tubes
Ok, so I've got some old PreSonus Blue Tube mic preamp's that have been collecting dust. Let me first say this, I personally don't think the Blue Tubes are as "terriable" of mic preamp's as everyone makes them out to be. True, they are on the low end of the spectrum, but they do add gain and a level of warmth.
