I am looking to buy the Tascam 1800..it has the correct amount of mic inputs I need, it is USB and not Firewire, and it is in my price range. I will also be buying a new computer to run the 1800. It will be a PC, not a MAC.

Ok I have been browsing E-b-a-y to look at prices for some items to put together a new computer system that will be used as a home audio unit. I have seen some really good prices but am still weary about buying anything like this on that site. For starters there is really no warranty of products in many regards. I have seen great deals on processors, RAM, fans, etc.

I need a bit of feedback on a PC system I am building out. The PC will be used with Pro Tools 9, Sony Vegas Pro 10, and Adobe Audition. AI will either be PCI sound card or Firewire. Do you think this configuration can handle the job(s)?

I need to get the copy that came wi th my Avid recording studio onto my new computer. I have the old computer, but that's not helping, considering I can't find the driver disc which also had the version of Pro Tools on it I was using (I'm assuming a scaled down version of pro tools since the interface is so cheap).

Hi all. I've been having some trouble lately with my very old-school set-up. I have a PC, about6 years old, with a Delta 44 sound card. I've never had any trouble with it until the past week. Suddenly, my sound will not work, sort of. In my DAW (Reaper), its fine, but when I try to play any Quicktime video or anything else that's not through Reaper, no sound.
