I'm excited. I'm dirifting away from PT and happy to announce, Sequoia 11 is being shipped to me.

If anyone over the next year or so learns of the best controller for Sequoia, please let me know. I've seen Mackie might be the choice but would love to see this topic grow on that.

Just wondering if anyone has, or wants to share their opinions on the new Akai APC40 / Ableton Live controller?

Looks very cool.

IMHO, Ableton Live is KILLER for composing and organizing thoughts. The APC40 really takes it another step.

I was planning on getting an m audio axiom midi controller, but at guitar center (I know not the most reputable source, hence why I'm asking) an employee recommened the akai mpk controller b/c he said the sliders and so force weren't always assigned correctly with some recording softwares (I run Sonar on a PC w/ vista).

I want a digital surface that can control my Cubase application, Please list me all 24in digital console that you know and I'll see the range of price then I'll be able to make a choice!

Alright, i'm not here to get everyone's opinion of the cheap ol monitor controllers. i'm above and beyond my "big knob" and i can't wait to smash it with a hammer "office space style".

i'll tell you what i'm looking to do, and what i've looked at.

I use FL, Ableton, Reason and logic, I have a basic home studio and am lookin for some basic midi pad controllers, I was looking at these three, please tell me which would be the best or if you know any other good ones in this price range, And i know that in this prices range nothing is tooo good, but its all i can aford.

Recently, I've been looking a lot into the Digi 002R. My remaining question is, what are the pros/cons of a control surface such as the Digi Command or the Mackie Universal?

I just picked up an old Yamaha MIDI foot controller that I wanted to use with Ableton, but whenever I try to map an Ableton control to any of the buttons, they all come up as "pitchbend" as if each button is sending the exact same midi message. Nothing happens when I press a button I mapped either, despite Ableton still seeing the activity and allowing it to be mapped.

i'm lookin to get a MIDI controller, to learn to play and record with. i'm going for cheap here, but something that's reliable. i'll prob start out using it to add a little something to my music, and then eventually learn to actually play.
