Hi. I posted here about advice in trying to do my first recording earlier... and I understand this probably should go in the home recording section, but I'm all finished now after 3 long days and it would be great to get some professional critiques.

i've been reading these forums for a while now, and i don't wanna sound like they're not useful cuz they definitely are, but i wanted to post something i recorded so that i could get advice on what I'M doing right and/or wrong in my recordings, as opposed to learning from someone else's mistakes or successes.

Hi Kids, Its your Uncle Davedog again. First let me say, there's a lot of very talented folks out there and you're very much encouraged to post whatever you got for the opinions of your peers.

HOWEVER. This forum is more of a 'how does it feel to write'. 'what are the basics in key selection' . 'how do I get my girl to love my guitar' kinda place.

Here's a test recording...Guy wants to pursue jobs in VO. What do you think of the talent, as well as the recording? This was recorded with a Sennheser MD421 through an M-Audio DMP3 preamp, and ART Pro VLA compressor, into an M-Audio Delta 44 card. Please let me know, what is good about this, what needs improvement.

Hi guys I’m a first time poster, long time reader of this forum. I’ve seen this done on here before where people ask for their mixes to be critiqued and thought it would be beneficial to get some outside opinions on my mix. So please don’t hold back, let me know what I’m doing wrong, I won’t get offended.

Well here we go. I recorded these songs a year ago in my basement. I had a very very low quality drum mic kick to use on the drums and two microphones to record everything else with. This is done through a 20-30 year old 12 channel mixer (a BEAST) to my pc onto Cakewalk Guitar Track Pro.

Alright so we have tracked two songs since we built the studio in my basement.
