Howabout using the below:

Mice to preamp to Apogee min me (for AD), to firwire 410 mpower to PC?

Is it possible? Would it be similar in audio quality vs fireface? Woud it be better?

I guess I can use Pro Tools this way, but not if it is too painful to set up...

I've got a boss br-532. I was considering buying a Roland VS 1680 on ebay because it is a cheap 16 track with a midi in jack and supports MMC and MTC. In addition, Boss is a division of Roland inc. so I would assume that the digital recorders would be more compatable with each other as opposed to another brand.

Hi All, I am new to the forums. My question in this post drove me to googlethe problem, and now I stumble upon this gargantuan resource that is called recording.org.

Is a Midi Daisy Chain Really that bad?

I just reconfigured my system(fatar midi keyboard controller-OUT- to-IN-of sound module-MIDI THRU- IN,2nd sound module-THRU-IN,3rd sound module.

That's how it is now. SO far No problems. I had a friend say I really need a bigger Midi Interface. Like a 4in/4out. Therefore, everything would be handled properly. Could this cause problems in the long run?
