I have a problem...I went a little crazy and got way too many things daisy-chained via USB (midi controlers, interfaces, hard drives) in my studio, including four focusrite 18i20s hoping to be able to get all 32 channels out of them. but I know it was wishful thinking since my 13-inch MacBook running logic won't be able to handle all the data, at least without massacring the sample rate.

Do any of you have any idea whether a PreSonus StudioLive 32.4.2 can be daisy chained with their 16 or 24 StudioLivemixers? We are looking for an FOH mixer with min. 40 channels. Thinking to go digital but not finding many options with that many mic preamps.

I have heard a lot of different information about this and was wondering if anybody could give me a clear answer.

i currently own a PreSonus fp-10 and am looking into purchasing another one to daisy chain together, so i can get 16 pre's for the drums. i've heard that daisy chaining makes the quality much lower, but i've also heard the exact opposite.

i live in an apt in new york city and can't disturb my neighbors.. I play drums but at home I use an electronic drum kit and have been practicing with my friends using headphones to monitor ourselves and we'd record sessions into my computer using the rca tape outs. I have only been playing with one musician at a time so a dual headphone splitter worked fine until now.

So I got a Soundtracs Topaz 32-8 this summer. I'm daisy-chaining 2 Firepods together so I have 16 simultaneous channels in/out.

My plan is to be able to record up to 16 live tracks, and also mix into 16 'group' to the console.

So my question is how the **** do I finish after that?

I have a two track Otari 1/4" mastering recorder as well.

I saw that you can daisy-chain the 1200f and the manual says that it can support 64 i/o. Does that mean that it doesn't have a problem connecting 4+ interfaces together?
Does anyone have experience with this? Does it require more than one firewire card?

are there any vst plugins that anyone knows of that allow you to turn one vst into a multi VST slot? A program I used to use called "Multitrackstudio" had a vst built in that would do that.
