I was wondering if any one knows any way to use the Pro Tools digi001 without Pro Tools. Like if there is a driver for it some where that would let me use it with cake walk or cubase?

Hi guys, i have an old ADAT model and a digi 001 and i want to know which converters would you prefer. I heard there are some differences between ADAT models, in that case could you specify which model are you tlaking about.

this is probably a silly question but has anyone with a digi 001 rig upgraded from LE 5.1 to LE 6.X recently? Does the track count increase from 24 to 32 with the upgrade or just the interface etc? I have a mate who is selling his cheap and I was thinking of getting it as a backup or mobile rig.

Alright, here's my problem. I can't get my drum machine into Pro Tools via the Digi 001. I have no idea what the problem is. I have the out of the drum machine to the in of the 001, and vice versa, but nothing is happening. The drum machine is a Alesis SR-16 (if that matters). Can someone please help me with what I need to do to get my MIDI to work in Pro Tools, with my PC? Thanks.

P4 2.6 Ghz, 512 ram, 400 mhz FSB

Hi folks, I hope I am posting in the right place.
I am trying to get a boss br 8 to my 001 via light pipe to transfer some trax. I use ADAT Light pipe out to 001 all the time for the extra ins, but I can not seem to bet the little boss unit to send to PT via Light Pipe.
I am thinking that the boos would jsut go in place of the ADAT in the signal chain.

I have a relatively new home/project studio. I currently own a Tascam 788 standalone recorder. It's been great and has really gotten me interested in recording. I'm now working with some outboard preamps, compressors, and have recently gotten a Tascam m-3500 24 channel board to go along with it.
