I'm working in dEstudio, jakarta Indonesia.
We're using Ptools HD3 with 2 192 I/O (24in 16 out) and a Control24. we're planning to upgrade the studio. Which one will sound great : install summing mixer with additional ADDA or change the C24 to a Digital Mixer like Yamaha DM2000 or Sony's?

As I typed this, I suddenly understood it. I think. I guess now I'm just posting it for people who might have the same questions.

I want to convert all old cassette to digital format for archieves using my PC.

I Use Windows Sound Recorder but only up to a minutes time limit. not enough for a normal song.

Ive been looking around at everyones posts... and it doesnt look like many people use Digital Performer? I wonder why that is?

Please keep in mind I do not have this equipment, this is simply for my understanding.. Feel free to correct me if I'm wrong.

I currently have an analog board and have considered buying a digital board from maybe ebay but I need help in making a decision about which board to get. I wanted to try the Behringer dd3216, a Tascam dm-24, or maybe a Yamaha o1v. Any help would be appreciated. I would spend from $1500-$2000. I have also seen a panasonic board that looks pretty good but I'm not sure how old that board is.

After a lot of searching through the Internet, I'm very surprised by the small number of digital i/o options that I can use with a laptop. All I can think of is the Digiface, or one of the Digigram cards (but I like to work with 96k).

Is there a device that will allow multiple inputs through AES/EBU or coaxial?

Hi all. Trying to find a small digital router - scenario as follows.

DAWs are here to stay and they bring a lot of good features to us, and I like it. But this is what bugs me about working in DAWs:

- Sometimes I feel like everything is not in time, as if the time-alignment between tracks differs from time to time. Especially true to soft-instruments, but audiotracks aswell.
