Roland TD 6 KV E Drums & Eurorack UB 1204 Pro Sound Issu
Hi,
I have been playing along with the Kit to MP3s, Either played from a laptop or a DVD player.
Before I bought the UB 1204 Pro Mixer the sound levels from either the Drums or the MP3 where always different and the idea of buying the mixer was to bring the volume levels closer together.

Good article in latest Recording Magazine - rec'ng drums
Though often one long advertisement for gear, this month's issue contained a fantastic discussion of phase issues inherent to recording drums with overheads. The author (can't remember who) gives a detailed example of a great way to fix problems. I jumped right to my DAW and followed his instructions on some recent drums tracks I recorded.
Recording Drums with an Mbox and/or Drum Triggering
is it possible to record drums with an mbox? i know that some sort of external i/o device would be required to have enough inputs for all the drums mics, since the mbox only has two, but is there a device that does this?
if this wouldnt work, is drum triggering an alternative? what equipment would i need to purchase to make this happen?
Recording drums - only 2 good pre's
SO! I'm thinking of getting two decent mic preamp's
either 2 Bricks, or a Sebatron vmp-2000 to go with my firepod
what parts of the drums should I record with the 2 good mic preamp's (the rest will go through the firepod's mediocre/bland pre's
Ususal set-up being:
kick
hats
snare
2xrack toms
floor tom
2 or 3 overheads

Mixer for Drums - 12 XLR condenser mics & band
New here and also new at this.
I'm trying to find a mixer for drums and hopefully band as well.
Drums have 12 XLR condenser mics, all needing phantom power.
I'm thinking of 16-24 channels, but like I said, I'm brand new to mixing and I would appreciate any and all help.
It would be nice to be able to record as well, but a mix is the main thing here.
Logic Express: help with FX for kick drums needed
I'm trying to get a nice, thumpy kick drum sound for an electronica-style project. I'm doing the programming in Logic as a MIDI track, the instrument/audio object being a SoundFont with lots of kick drum samples that I made. I have a lot of difficulty in getting it right, so I hope some of you can help me out.

Mixing down drums w/ sample
If the drums have been recorded. And now it's time to mix them down. How do you use the kick mic as the trigger for the kick drum sample?
Or do you have to record with a trigger on the kick drum?

Drums during playback & mixdown
I have recorded the drums. And during mixdown, I want to use the midi jack on my Triton keyboard to double the kick drum on each hit. Who else has done this?
I figure if I go from the 24 track recorder to the mixer, then to a unit something like the Roland TMC 6 (it's a Trigger to MIDI Converter). Somebody tell me this is do-able!
