Recording Bass Guitar (tips?) / using Line 6 Effects Process

Im new to recording. I am looking to record bass, guitar, and drums in a few days, but i have never recorded bass. How would I get the best quality. I have my hands on a borrowed line 6 bass effects processor. Should I just direct input to the board, then bus to the effects processor, or would it make sense to use a large diaphragm condenser mic on the amp also?

Hi all, new to the site here, hopefully this is in the right spot...

I am looking to do a similar voice effect to the one in NIN's "Starf*ckers", the one he uses over the beginning of the verses... although I am not sure how it is created. any input is appreciated...

Thanks...

What effect creates that "Magic" touch?

Greetings,

Can anyone tell what effect or processor is being used on the vocal track of Kelly Clarkson' "Because of you".

At the very beginning, where her vocal is the dominant element you can clearly hear this "silver coating" around her voice. I don't think, that is just an EQ trick, but I could not find out what that is.

Does anyone know?

simultaneous tracks with effects?

Hey, I have a zoom multitrack that allows you to record 6 tracks simultaneously. The zoom recorders have awesome effects for the guitar and plugging my guitar direct is good for recording instead of Micing the cab. But when you record in 6 track mode you cant use the effects. You cant assign an effect for each track in multi track mode and I want to record two guitars at once.

good value, versatile & reliable multieffect recommendat

Hi

I am quite a n00b to the world of effects  and will be very grateful for any help. Working with two bands, as a hobby, never had a chance to work with a rack full of effects and thus have no reference...

I am looking for multieffect, that would

ideally have a reverb going to aux return 1

Is this right or wrong?/ fx channel-sends

ok when ever i want to send a signal to an fx channel in nuendo i send the signal at unity gain and ofcourse the fx channel is defaulted at unity gain aswell, but for some reason that particular track sounds louder because of the fx channel and i have to lower the fader on the original track and the fx track

"Slowing Down Tape" Effect on a Revox B77

Hey guys, I've got a vocal clip and I need to slow the tail end of the clip down. Is this possible on a Revox b77, and what is the safest way to do it? Is it safe to turn the tape while the clip is recording from an external CD player? The plan is to get the track back into a DAW to edit. Let me know!

Please tell me how to use these effects in my song, are they echo? reverb? delay? where are they panned. i do notice some pre-delays as well. i am very new to recording. here is the songs in which i have made it karaoke at some places to make easier to notice how they are panned. Thanks. Really would appreciate it.
