UA 4-710 vs. ISA428 / ISA828
Hi guys, I made a lot of tests lately to compare the ISA and the 710's preamps. Altought I found a few ways of making the 710 sound good adding to the compressor, the simplicity of the ISA is still a strong side that push me toward selling both units I have and get a ISA828.

clipping ISA 428
Hey folks i just bought the Focusrite ISA 428 about a month ago and the damn thing doesnt seem to work properly.
Ive tried different mics, cords, configurations and what I'm getting is a clipped signal half way up the meter(-8). It almost sounds like it is being overly compressed. This seems to be most problematic in the low end,but the general description is static, and muffled.

ISA428 Question - Line Inputs - what are they good for
Hi,
I know this is a pretty simple and basic question that I should know, but I don't, so here I am.
I own a Focusrite ISA428 which I have been using for a couple of years now. I am just in the midst of setting up a new patchbayand I am starting to run a little thin on available connection points.
BSS DPR-402 and Focusrite ISA 428
Hi,
Anyone using Brooke Siren Systems (BSS) DPR-402 with Focusrite ISA 428 ? How does this combination work? Any thoughts about BSS itself? I just got it for real cheap price and I would appreciate to hear comments of you.

Preamp Advice SCA n72 vs. . Sebatron vs. . ISA 428 vs. . Sytek
Hey, I don't really post much, but I've been floating around for a while..
Anyway, I play in a reggae influenced band outta buffalo, NY. I've been doing the band's latest recordings in our home studio, (Mackie Board, MOTU A/D Converter, Soundcraft Compact 4, various mics, etc. )
Focusrite ISA 428 or the JML TMP8 preamp?
hey everyone,
I am in the market for a new higher end preamp (currently only Twin Track Pro and the Tascam FW-1884 on board pres).
I am looking at the ISA 428, and recently because of all the great feedback, the JML TMP8.
I like the 428 because of the A/D card I can get along w/ 4 great pres..giving me 8 extra inputs in addition to my current 8.

ISA 428 Converter option
I know this has been talked about before but I can't really find a definitave answer.
Anyone know how the converters stack up against dedicated converters like Apogeeand mytek? I know the clock jitter specs are much better in the mytek compared to the focusrite.

Onyx pres alongside a ISA428?
Looking to increase my inputs to accomADATe more live recordings. Currently have a Focusrite ISA428 into a Motu2408MKIII and we're looking at adding the Onyx 8 channel pre. Wondering if anyone here has experiece with it and how it might mate with the ISA.
Will most likely be used heavily to mic drumkits and some other instruments.
Respect...
LRG
