Hey everyone!

I'm having to do a small project on the history of recording, mainly the gear used and the reason for its conception. Does anyone know where I can find good resources, either books or (verified) online sources? Something along the lines of a timeline would also be helpful.

i was just wondering, if anyone can tell me, why it is that the recordings of the 70's sound about as good as what were hearin today. whats the common denominator in it all. Is it the room? I mean we do have better equipt. now right?

can someone pls just point me in the direction of a good book or whatever ..I'm doing a comparitive essay in a web site structure. and I'm having trouble getting info on the history of music software..any help would be greatly appreciated!

This more likely than not has been talked about here, in the past. My question is what was the model number of the first origional Yamaha NS10? Is it the NS10M or is there an even earlier more origional monitor named "NS10" without the "M"? Is there a difference between the two?

What song, album or band/artist did you record or were a part of that received any "popular status" as in, did it get any radio play, a grammy, juno etc.

I was wondering if you could tell me what the difference between the Helios 760 and the ADR 760-n is.Any history of these units would also be appreciated.
