I have a guitar that I want to record by the Line-in input. Now my problem is, that when I want to record some riffs, the input always fades in.

Ok, since I'm an upfront kind of guy here it is: the SM57 is a practical, handy, inexpensive mic for multi-purpose studio use. Perhaps an industry standard. What's the next step up in practical, handy, but a little more expensive, mics? Those of you who don't like long posts can stop here and reply.

One kind of like Sony's Wavehammer with these options.
Options:
Has an Input Gain fader(Wavehammer does not)
Allows Peak and RMS Compression
Ratios up to 50:1 or higher if possible.
Offers a Limiter to limit the Output

I've got a VMP 2000e which I love and use every day. Sometimes I use the first ch to overdrive the 2nd ch, like with guitar, synth, etc.

What I'm wondering is: can extremely hot levels harm the inputs? My memory and experience is that they cannot be harmed by huge input levels but just want to be sure.

okay so i was trying to record the midi events i sequenced into fruity loops (the events trigger samples, so maybe these arent even midi events?) into cubase.

hey guys i was wondering if there is any device available in the market with 16 Simultaneous analog input. firewire or usb does'nt matter...

Im literally just starting out and have just come to set up my midi keyboard with reason 3.0. I have followed the manuals and connected it properly and used the midi in device at the top of the rack but still i cannot link them together. Feel like ive tried literally everything now. .any advice or help would be brilliant. thanks
