i just recently bought a m-audio mobilepre usb preamp/interface and I'm trying to set it up on my laptop.the interface was made for win xp but i did find a win 7 update on the m-audio site, and i also downloaded the asio4all driver which would be the preffered driver. any way i can only get sound out of the right speaker .

I have a 2 channel audio interface but will be recording up to 8 at one time.
Hi guys.
I will be recording a drum set (acoustic, of course) with 4-8 mics. But the problem is: how do I do that with a 2 channel audio interface? Any solutions? Is it really expensive?
Thanks

connections with Juli@ interface - balanced vs. unbalanced
I guess the question should be simple:
I own a Juli@ interface from ESI, it has always been a fantastic-sounding tool, and it's got a unique feature: it lets you swap the card into two positions, RCA unbalanced I/O and TRS balanced I/O.
What is the difference between a firewire interface and USB?
Which one is better and why?
I am curious as to if a USB interface would be fine for what I am looking for. I just want something rock solid that does not have any audio drop outs or clicks and pops. Not looking to do tons of simultaneous tracks. Maybe 3 at once at most.
thanks for the help
Forgetting the mic and plugging a guitar amp straight into an audio interface?
I've been trying to record my guitar, and it sounds very buzzy. I've been reading a bunch of threads here and elsewhere and found that backing off on the gain can help, but I tried that (gain down to about 25% of max), but that didn't seem to help much.
Some Basic Computer Interface Info
This was an article I saw the other day browsing around looking for something else. I felt there was enough basic FYI stuff to stickie it. Proper acknowledgment to the author over at Tweakheadz Lab.

Audio interface compatible with Sun Solaris w/Sparc?
Its an odd question I know, but Im locked into the Sun Sparc to do some basic 4 channel recording. Are you aware of any audio interfaces that are compatible with the Sun Solaris OS which uses the Spark processor? I have found a Sun Hardware compatibility lists for Solaris but using Intel X86. It could be any interface, PCI, USB etc.
Thank you for any tips
Saffire Pro 40: Is it possible to use this interface with Pro Tools through lightpipe?
If I had a saffire pro 40 and an [url=http://www.m-audio… Profire Lightbridge[/url], would I be able to use the Saffire Pro 40 8 inputs to track in Pro Tools?
