Okay .. the readers digest version is I'm building a mini B studio ( studio A got moved to another location).

This started as a hobby for me way back in 1988 ( boy have we come along way). It's still a hobby now and will be my retirement hobby after my girls finish university ( if there's any money left LOL)

Anyhow, I'm struggling with the interface decisions ...

how do I connect my mixer, audio interface and computer?And can my USB mixer substitute my interface

can i run two firewire interfaces at the same time? both have dual firewire connections.

I have a chance to scoop one of these up cheap ... ... I understand it's a discontinued product, it does have available drivers for windows 7 /64 bit ( I have a desktop that will support it). I'm not finding much in reviews, The odd posting about failures and the odd posting about the dbx preamps having a limited range on the gain controls ...

I currently have a 21" iMac and an [="http://apogeedigital.com/products/duet2.php"]Apogee Duet2[/]="http://apogeedigita…"]Apogee Duet2[/] audio interface. I'd like to expand to have at least two more audio channels (e.g. Glyn Johns acoustic drum recording, etc).

390 channels = 194 ins, 196 out

Looks very impressive and at 14 samples and no errors.

But who here used this many channels? Its got to be a very small number of studios compared to most yes? Never the less, looks very impressive.
