MOTU 2408 MK3 OR 24I/O ?

just curious what would be better to buy?, i'm gonna be doing live audio recording with my apple g5 and I'm gonna need at least 24 channels to start, eventually going to 48 channels, also i'll need to sync audio to live video shoots. just curious if anyone could give me any insight on which unit is better for that app, i know the 2804 is a little cheaper, and seems to have more features.

PROBLEMS PROTOOLS I/O SETTING

I RECENTLY BEGAN TO DO ALOT OF BUSING TO MY AUX. CHANNELS AND FOR SOME REASON THE I/O BEGAN SETTING ITSELF AFTER I LEFT THE FILE. THIS IS BRINGING ON PROBLEMS WITH LATENCY AND A STRANGE CONFIGURATION SHOWING 18 CHANNELS IN USE WHEN I DON'T HAVE THAT MANY IN OPERATION. WHAT AM I DOING TO MYSELF? I KNOW ITS ME SHOOTING MYSELF IN THE FOOT BUT I AM NOT SURE HOW.

Logic Pro 7 audio I/O? Best choice.

I'm using Digital Performer right now with a 2408 setup but may be able to purchase Logic Pro very cheaply. I'm thinking of using it for mobile recording and wanted to know what is the best non-Digidesign audio interface to use with just Logic Pro (no Pro Tools involved).

Feel free to throw out any Mac solutions (PCI or Firewire).

TIA

Jim

Lexicon Effects Processor I/O Level Set...Woooo!

OK...

This makes no sense to me.

I'm bustin' the ceiling with my Effects Processor's minimal settings

I'm running the Lexicon MPX-500 w/ an Echo Audio LAYLA 24/96 PC AI. I'm looping my dry, pre-recorded signal out of the Layla's 3/4 Outs...in & out of the Lexicon; & back into the Laya's 3/4 Ins (all balanced.)
