Mobile Laptops: Windows or Mac?
Hello!
If one was to dedicate a laptop completely to (primarily) audio and (some) video editing, which is more condusive? Windows or Mac? I am going to be recording live music, running loops, creating beats, etc., and also editing a lot of pictures and some video.
Would a Mac be preferred for this? If so, why? If not, why not?
Thanks in advance for any input.

Help me pick out a Laptop!
I'm looking into laptops for mobile recording. I need something around $1500 that will run Cubase and run smoothly with 24 or so tracks. Would you reocmmend a external hard drive for laptops, since laptop hdd's are usually pretty slow?

Desktop & laptop recommendations please
Hi
I've just got Samplitude 9 Pro and I'd like some recomendations for specific off-the-shelf desktops and laptops (under £1000) that will do the business as an audio computer. I'm an acoustic musician, so I won't be running a shed-load a simultaneous tracks.

centrino duo laptop
I'm about to upgrade my laptop and have heard that Intel Centrino Duo is not recommended for recording!
Is this true?

Lexicon lambda and laptops
I'm thinking of getting a Lexicon lambda, using it with a laptop to do recording and doing the audio editing on my PC. Looking at the minimum requirements has me worried - XP, Pentium III (preferably IV), 256M (preferably 512M of Ram) are okay, but it says 7200rpm Hardrive, which of course I don't have in a laptop. I think it's 4200rpm is what I'll have to work with.
