i've been using Sony vegas pro for 2 years just for live recording. that's what i've been taught how to use and i've always been afraid to try new things. now I'm ready to move on and try other software. i was wondering if anyone had some suggestions i.e. Cubase n' Pro Tools. or if anyone thinks i should just stick to Sony vegas? thanks much

Live Recording and FoH Mixing...

Hello!

I've been in and out of the forums the past two/three years trying to figure some stuff out. So far, we are back to square one.

First, let me give you all the setting. We are a church of about 350 and have pretty rocking music and dynamic services. It is our goal to get setup for TV, web streaming, CD production, etc.

Live Recording

I've had a home recording studio for the last three years. I'm using a fast/powerful computer built by ADK Pro Audio. I use a Blue - Blueberry microphone, usually for vocals and acoustic guitar. I have two PreSonus FirePod interfaces and a PreSonus Eureka preamp. I use Cubase 4. I have a tri-screen monitor setup. I use two Mackie HR624's as my reference monitors.

Live recording

Hello,
I am not expert in recording...I have two microphones and I use them to record outdoor. Which accessories would you suggest to handle them? something like the A27M Shure adapter? but I don't want to use stands, just handle the microphones. Is there something like the combination of the Neumann HG 82 the A27M Shure adapter?
Sorry for the silly question..
Cheers

Live Recording Ideas

Forums

Hey guys, so I am with a company that goes out with bands and records their sets to be sold once the show is over. As of right now we are using a MOTU 8 channel pre and that is it. I am looking for a few good ideas (with a limit on budget) that might be able to help boost the signal to a higher level so I dont have to worry about peaking out on my pres to get a good final product.
