iMac and Pro Logic 9 for recording? Help!

I have been using Cubase on a PC for recording/editing/mixing for the past few years and I have never gotten the quality results that I am looking for. For instance I always lose bass response and clarity when I import wavs. into Cubase and end up having to compensate by mixing up bass and treble to teh point that it sounds hissy and crappy.

issues pro-logic to Cubase help

OK... So the band I'm working with had some songs done in a pro-level studio at the ATL Institute... Tracks are ok - mix is horrible. They want me to see if I can salvage the recordings and get something out of them. I did BUT>>>

The institute gave thema CD of the individual tracks, complete with edits but not with any processing - raw tracks. WAV files.

Magnus Ambience and Logic Express

Hi, I'm having some trouble installing the Reverb plugin Ambience by Magnus on my Mac running Locig Express 8. I drag the.component file into /Library/Audio/Plug-ins/Components folder but it does not show up in Logic's Audio Units section in the DAW itself. Can someone help me with this? Also, are there any better free/inexpensive reverb plugins that are any good?

General Advice On Mixing Metal In Logic 8

Hey,
Only just joined this forum and already found some of the threads very handy, but need a bit of extra advice on some mixing in Logic 8.
I run full Logic 8 on a Powermac G5, using Toontrack Superior 2.0 (The Metal Foundry SDX) for drums.
Have recorded all guitars with a close-mic'd SM57 (top right cone of Orange cab) and placed an SE2200A about 6ft away.
