I just recently bought Logic Pro, and My mbox really sucks with it. Can anyone recommend an i/o with min 8 outs? Price is $5-600 US. I'm looking to minimize latency. I'm thinking about the MOTU ultra-light.

What I WANT To Happen
I have an Audix mic in front of my guitar cab recording and sending to my computer then into Logic. I want to be able to hear the click/drum track from a pair of USB headphones.

This is what I am looking to buy. Would you please look over this decision and critique if I am off base?

Yesterday we recorded drums at a studio. The drums were recorded onto a windows PC running Cubase SX3. These tracks were then exported onto a DVD (each separate track into a wav). When we imported these wavs. into Logic Pro on a MacBook running Leopard they go out of time.

2 questions:

1. How can I route an audio track through a software synthesizer in Logic so that I can manipulate a voice, in real time, using oscillators and different filters?

2. How would I route a voice out from logic, into a MOTU 8pre, and then send a digital signal to an external synth for manipulation?

hey guys just wondering if anyone has a powerbook running logic 8 and does it run good if not how does logic 7 do. i have a powerbook g4 1.67ghz i wanna start using logic with my m-audio interface. just wondering if it runs good also does anyone know if Pro Tools m-powered 8 run good with the powerbook g4's.. i did plenty of searchs and couldnt put together my exact answer.

Me and my friend are having some trouble recording drums into logic. So we've got a kit all the mics going into the usb mixer going into macbook into logic but it all goes into 1 track. We really need each mic to have its own channel for panning etc. Can anybody help?

I have tried everything (and it wasn't that much) but I cannot figure out how to take a loop in logic and have it play on a track in the arrange window.

I can drag the loop to the window and the region will appear but when I press play nothing happens.

Is there something else I need to do to get to playback?

I want to start up my own portable recording studio using my macbook pro and wanted to know which software I should use and what equipment to get. I plan on recording voice and instrumental tracks, mainly for songwriting.
