I've got a dual 867 G4 that I am going to set up PT HD on. I want to get the OS optimized for use with Pro Tools HD. I am very familiar with Macs, and have been working with them for years, but I have not set up any Pro Tools HD systems yet. Does anyone have any tips for Pro Tools HD setup? Thanks!

can this be done? i know you can buy switch boxes but are there any problems or implications if i want my mac an pc to use the same monitor. i am finally getting a new mac as a dedicated audio machine but want to keep the trusty pc in the studio for internet/business type stuff.

When Steinberg ships SX for Mac my intent is to get rid of the old AHB console and patchbay and take the Dual 1.25Ghz G4 plunge.

I will be wanting to get a new AD/DA setup happening and maintain ADAT connectivity.

HELP! My Mac has been so unreliable! (a dual processor with seagate drive) It often freezes and not start up once every so often. i have tried everying but the problem has continue for more than 4 months and i am getting very frustrated.

Hey guys, first I'll say that I've been using PCs for years and they work fine for me.
I am considering including a mac in my studio however. I ran into a used G4 450mhz with 256meg of ram for $300 or so.
What exactly can this machine do for me? Would it be underpowered for running 24-36 audio tracks@48K/24bits? Any input would be great. Thanks :cool:
