hey everyone, i was using my delta 4/4 with Cubase sx3 before, i just bought my firepod, and i'm liking it so far.

So, I know a general idea is to keep your mixes peaking at around -3dB on mixes ITB. Some people told me to keep drums peaking at -12dB so there's enough room to put all the other instruments in.

Ok, so now that M-Audio has added PT support for the Delta66, I went ahead and downloaded the demo so I can mess with it and learn. There one thing that's stumping me though.

I was doing some recording with a guitar that has humbuckers, the swelling sounds that those pickups make sounds great when the volume knob is slowly raised to 100%. But this is hard to do and play at the same time (if I only had 3 arms). If I use a volume pedal instead, will it produce the same results?
Which is better and why?

i'm trying to record an acoustic part with two matched pair condensers. the condensers are plugged into my Mackie vlz1604, levels are set there, then two unbalanced 1/4" cables running from the sub outs, into two channels of my old Tascam 788 portastudio. the Mackie reads the signals as being between 0db - +4db.

I'm new to using pro tools. I have experience recording into an ADAT recorder using an analog board. I know the difference between pre and post fader modes.
When recording or doing a final mix in pro tools, should the pre fader metering be turned on or off? I am not using any EQ when recording the tracks.

Hi guys...well i was wondering if there is any audio monitoring mixer with a builtin SPL Meter... which can tell me how loud i m listning right now... it should'nt me based on mic but telling me the output level thats coming from the speakers right now...

Hey all. question. can you put a generic meter bridge on any board? Do they make generic meter bridges for boards? or do you have to have a specific model made for your exact board.
