I was wondering if an SM57 would work well on bongos. If not, please suggest the most affordable budget mic for me to use.

Has anybody had any experiance recording these.

Any suggestions as to the best way to Mix Acoustic Guitar-Bongo(1 bongo) and a single vocal track.

Greetings! I've spent a couple years working with drum kits, but I have a small hand drum made from a gourd that I'd like to include in a couple segues on my band's CD. I can make some guesses, but I figured I'd see if you guys had any advice. My available mics at this point are a pair of C1000s and SM58s and 57s...

Has anyone done an internal mic mount for congas? If you've done it or heard it done I'd like your opinions, and if you haven't done it I'd still like your thoughts on what the issues might be--pros and cons, etc.

I'm looking at it ONLY from a 'cool install' point of view--on all other aspects I'm clueless. I've not seen ANY references to the practice.
