I'm pretty new to the whole home recording and DAW world. I've been messing around for awhile at home using Sonar 3 and various softsynths. I don't have any wild money making dreams. Just a hobby that seems to grow more serious as the days go by. .more expensive as well. :D

i've finally got my guts together and decided to bring two of my mixes to this forum.
i recently recorded this stuff (low-budget) and now i'm pretty busy trying to make it sound good.

I'm a newbie trying to get together a home studio, record 3-4 tracks at a time just for fun...demo quality at best- been reading and lurking for about a month.

Just a quick question for everyone! :)

Im trying to make sure that my final mixes aren't going into the 'red' on the Master fader in Pro Tools.
( so that i can send it off to be Mastered )...

Hi all, I'm planning on purchasing an Alesis hd24. What mixer should I get? It's for home studio use- Micing electric guitars thru amps, acoustic strings(mandos, banjos, martins), vocals, drums.
I've been reading some negative stuff about the Mackie 1604. Should I get the Mackie? What else can I get that's around $1000?

I am trying to finish my own personal electronic "Dance?" album. I have sampled most most all of the Kicks, snares, hats etc. to make up the percussion section off of vinyl and CDs. Some of this music is pseudo Hip-Hop, House and other forms of electrinica. I am using Pro-Tools Digi 001 with a Manley, Avalon pre and the full Waves plugin package.

I am going to take my business outside of the studio and record live shows. I need a mixer. 16 channel with direct outs on all 16ch. A talk back mic would be nice but I am sure doesnt usually come on such a small chassis. It would have to be rackmountable. Individual phantom would be agreat feature with some nice pres's. Any suggestions?

I have a Spirit 328 with an OZ audio HM-6 Q-mix.
The 328 have 4 aux's. I have a click, eight mics from the drums, 2 from guitar, 1 bass, 1 vocal.
