I've just done this first mix (let's say RAW since there is not much fancy work done), downloading the tracks from the known from this forum site with free tracks for mixing training. So I'm training.

Hi guys!

I have a client that I have been struggling with finding the correct mic for. He has a really sharp s sound so any of my condensers where out of the question the minute I heard his rap vocals. Here is an example of a song he recorded using an AKG c3000 and I mixed and mastered. (he is the fist rapper)

Mixed and mastered ITB on Ableton Live.
I know it sounds amateur-ish. please I would love some feedback.

I've been on this forum a long time finally about to finish new album 7 of 10 songs recorded here is latest one that's in a listenable state.

Any suggestions welcome mix definitely needs work. I've learned a lot from this forum over the years. (thanks Donnie)

For this I used one mic an AT4047 for all tracks into a Apogee Duet. Daw is Logic.

Ok so I'm all very new to this mixing deal. Basically at uni we have a new studio. We are required to spend at least 2 hours a week in this studio and get familiar. I have read lots on recording and mixing, and my classmates decided they wanted me to do the mix. I've tried just finicking with a few things and feel like I've gotten something decent... maybe.
