Linux DAW shootout: Harrison Mixbus vs. Reaper
Can anyone help me with some pros and cons comparing these two programs?
Harrison Mixbus 4 vs Reaper 5.40
For today's purpose, I am running Ubuntu with XFCE. I do not have an interface picked out yet, so that can be factored into the discussion.
Harrison MixBus 3
I downloaded, installed and licensed MixBus 3 yesterday ( I believe it's actually vrs 3.6).

Harrison Mixbus DAW - version 3.6
Kurt Foster, (and/or anyone else who has spent some time on the newest ( or newer) versions of Harrison's MixBus DAW platform)...
Kurt...
about a year and a half ago, you and I were discussing the newest Harrison Mixbus version that was out at the time, I'm fairly certain it was vers. 3.0 (?)

MixBus - which Harrison compressor are you using?
Kurt...
Which Harrison compressor are you using, either for individual tracks, and/or for the 2-bus?
Or are you using something other than the stock Mixbus Compressor?
Just curious... :)
Harrison MixBus
I purchased this program last year, and I really enjoyed mixing with it.
I wouldn't recommend it for full-scale production - being that MixBus has no midi function at all - you are best to use your current DAW to record if your project includes midi or soft synths.

Which Windows OS is best with Harrison Mixbus DAW
i'm going for a laptop to run the new Harrison Mixbus DAW ... i have singled out a few machines ... i'm looking for advice as to which OS, Windows XP Pro, 7 or 8?
Harrison MixBus
They were offering this program at a sale price of $40, so I thought I'd give it a chance.

PT mixbuss potluck.
I apologize if this suggestion has already been put out there, but I'm always curious to compare/exchange mixes done entirely *inside* PT with others who are doing the same. This isn't an attempt to start yet another debate over the Pro Tools mix bus, math, etc. Let's just assume for a moment that there is some degree of wierdness there.
